Chris Bullinger

President & CEO

Chris offers more than 25 years of expertise in developing, valuing, acquiring, selling, financing and operating power plants. Beginning his career specializing in site selection for natural gas power plants, he has worked in nearly every aspect of power plant development thereafter, founding and running several successful energy companies. Chris combines his leadership skills with a strong fundamental understanding of the industry based on his previous hands- on  experience in: PPA negotiation;  running  forward  price projection (dispatch) models; performing transmission (power flow) analysis; financial modeling to support  billions  of dollars of power plant development and acquisition; power plant siting; and detailed due diligence including power plant walk-through to support acquisition of billions of dollars of power plants.

Prior  to  founding  Hecate,  Chris  served  as  President  and  Board  Member  of  OCI  Solar Power where he oversaw 20 full-time employees and managed a $10 million dollar operating budget. Previously, he held positions as founder and President of CornerStone Power Development; founder and President of 330 Investment Management; Managing Director at Peoples Energy; and founder and principal of CornerStone Energy Advisors.

Highlights from Chris’s career include overseeing the growth of CornerStone Power Development/OCI Solar Power into a leading domestic solar power plant developer; and serving as lead advisor for the Sithe Energies acquisitions of the $700 million Boston Edison generating portfolio and the $1.7 billion GPU generating portfolio.

He is certified as both a CPA and CFA. He received his BSBA from Washington University in St. Louis and his MBA from Rice University.
